For RAW HUB, it started from a simple but frustrating experience — the difficulty of finding reliable people to handle everyday tasks.
Before becoming a platform connecting users with trusted professionals, RAW HUB was only an idea born inside the mind of a student trying to solve a personal challenge.
The journey began at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, where the founder, Mba Prince Chinyeaka, was studying Computer Science in the College of Physical and Applied Sciences.
During his first year, life was easier. Like many fresh students, he stayed inside the school hostel, where most things were within reach. There was less need to search for external services or workers.
But everything changed in his second year.
The university accommodation system required only fresh students to stay in the hostel, meaning returning students had to move outside campus into private lodges.
That was the turning point.
The reality of off-campus life
Moving outside the hostel introduced a completely different experience.
Finding artisans, technicians, and reliable workmen became a challenge.
Simple tasks became stressful.
Getting someone to fix things, repair equipment, handle maintenance, or provide services often came with uncertainty, delays, disappointments, and unnecessary stress.
For Prince Chinyeaka Mba, these repeated experiences created a question:
"Why is it so difficult to find the right person when you need help?"
That question became the foundation of RAW HUB.
The idea was simple:
Create a platform where students and everyday people could easily find trusted artisans and service providers without going through the stress of searching endlessly.
The birth of an idea
By 2022, the founder had started building the foundation of what would become RAW HUB.
The vision was not just to create another business, but to solve a real everyday problem.
In 2023, the idea started becoming a reality.
The community began growing.
More people started seeing the value of having a platform that connects needs with solutions.
Then in 2024, RAW HUB was officially registered as a company, marking a new chapter in the journey.
What started as a student’s personal struggle was becoming a structured platform built to serve more people.
From campus solution to everyday problem solver
